“Penne” Pasta with Creamy Mushroom Sauce

This dish is an ideal option for a cozy family dinner or a quick yet impressive lunch. “Penne” pasta from TM JARKA perfectly absorbs the creamy sauce, while the mushrooms add a rich aroma and a feeling of home comfort. It’s easy to prepare and looks just like something from a restaurant.

You will need:

  • “Penne” pasta by TM JARKA — 250 g.
  • Your favorite mushrooms — 200 g.
  • 20% cream — 200 ml.
  • Onion — 1 pc.
  • Garlic — 2 cloves.
  • Butter — 20 g.
  • Olive oil — 1 tbsp.
  • Hard cheese (Parmesan or any other) — 50 g.
  • Salt, pepper — to taste
  • Herbs — optional

Step 1.
Boil the “Penne” pasta by TM JARKA in salted water. Drain, reserving ½ cup of the cooking water.

Step 2.
Finely dice the onion, slice the mushrooms, and mince the garlic.

Step 3.
Heat a pan with olive oil and butter. Sauté the onion until translucent.

Step 4.
Add the mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden. Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute.

Step 5.
Pour in the cream, season with salt and pepper, and simmer over low heat for 3–5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.

Step 6.
Add the pasta to the sauce and mix well. If needed, add a little of the reserved pasta water for a silkier consistency.

Step 7.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated cheese and herbs.
